bridging the digital divide with starlink broadband
AVI Broadband is a tribal-led consortium composed of Chevak Native Village, Emmonak Village, Manokotak Village Council, Mentasta Traditional Council, Native Village of Afognak, Native Village of Belkofski, Native Village of Brevig Mission, Native Village of Hamilton, Native Village of Larsen Bay, Native Village of Paimiut, Native Village of Tununak, Native Village of Unalakleet, and Noorvik Native Community.
Connectivity is no longer a luxury in rural Alaska; it’s a necessity. Broadband empowers our communities with access to education, telemedicine, economic opportunities, and cultural preservation tools that were previously unavailable, helping families stay connected, supporting local languages, and enabling small businesses to reach wider markets.
The AVI team is working to provide our villages with reliable and affordable high-speed internet in partnership with Starlink. Funding is available in three ways: (1) a residential package for home internet service, (2) a mobile device option for on‑the‑go connectivity, and (3) a $120/month subsidy for households currently subscribed to another provider. These offers are limited to one per household. To apply or learn more, please contact your local tribal council or visit for eligibility details, timelines, and support.
