AVI Broadband news, updates and blog
Ask Leo is AVI Broadband’s Q&A and news hub for rural Alaska. Run by AVI with local villages and providers, it offers reliable, practical broadband information.
Have a question about broadband, connectivity services, or local infrastructure? Ask, and we’ll provide a clear, sourced answer—usually within 2–3 business days. If we can’t answer directly, we’ll connect you to the right contact.
What we do
- Answer community questions with clear, sourced explanations (policy, infrastructure, performance)
- Publish Alaska broadband updates (build schedules, outage advisories, funding, and program changes)
- We share timely assistance notices, including subsidy enrollment information, grant deadlines, and training dates, for all Alaska communities.
- Post how‑to guides and key contacts for common issues
Examples we answer
- “When is broadband scheduled for our community?”
- “Why is latency high during evenings, and what can we do?”
- “Who do we contact for planned maintenance or billing questions?”
